Klaivaskar:
Is the ancient name for Klaive Dueling. It is the most commonly practiced form of swordsmanship/armed combat practiced among all Fera, though it is slightly less popular among Garou than it is among other shifters. While its principles are based on the blade, it may be used armed or Unarmed
Luna’s Chosen:
Is the name given to the most practiced combat art among the Garou. It’s a powerful, brutal style of fighting that takes advantage of Garou's speed and power while ignoring defense. In the days of the past, each changing breed possessed its own martial tradition but time has worn down and eroded these styles of years past and now only this style remains. It is practiced purely unarmed.
Spear of Failinis/Athena:
A style that is unpopular amongst younger Garou. The Fianna and Black Furies are the only ones who practice it regularly among the Garou, as it exalts the tenets of defending others and keeping yourself alive to fight another day. It has, perhaps oddly (or maybe not) caught on as a combat style among the Gurahl, Corax Ratkin, and Nuwisha, all who know well the benefits of living to fight another day. It can be practiced armed or unarmed. Typically when used with a weapon its practitioners favor weapons with reach.
WindBorne:
Described by the Stargazers as the original Kailindo, this martial art involves entering into compacts with ancient and powerful wind spirits, who lighten the Garou and allow them to strike with deadly efficiency. The Stargazers claim that they alone created the style, though some Mokole claim they have visions of their ancestors practicing it millennia ago.
Dull Roar of the Patient Predator:
Created by the Tengu, Blind Kenshi, this style of Klaive dueling was given as a gift to the rest of the Hengeyokai by the master swordsman of the east. Over time it has filtered its way over to the Americas. It places emphasis on patience, feints, looking for the right opportunity, and channeling their rage into a deadly single blow. Most Changing breeds lack the patience for it, but it has taken roots among the Nuwisha, Mokole, Nagah, and the Children of Gaia, who find the meditation aspect of the style very rewarding. May be practiced armed or unarmed.
Garm's Clenched Jaw:
The Get of Fenris believe the best defense is worthless in the face of their unrelenting fury. Garm’s Bite is a style of fighting designed to kill the Garou, it is unrelenting fury incarnate. The practitioner puts all their energy into offense and none into defense as she throws her body into every blow. The popularity of the style among the Get is always high, though it is also popular among their hated enemies, among those who dance the Black Spiral.
