The twisted psyches of Clan Malkavian house a passion and insight unmatched among the other lines of Cainites. Through their bizarre powers of Dementation, the Malkavians spread their madness, catalyzing insanity among mortal and vampire alike.

Though this power was at one time found only among the deranged freaks of the Sabbat, a wave of instability has spread its nightmarish bubbles through Malkavians across the globe. The Malkavians seem almost eager to spread the secrets of this discipline. Curiously, other Cainite students of this discipline need not be insane to use its powers. The Discipline in many way spreads the madness of clan Malkavian through unlocking the doors of the psyche, exciting the madness that festers in every mind.

Challenge: Socials (Empathy) Vs. Socials

Cost: N/A

Duration: 1 hour.

The Cainite can expand his madness to affect others with just a few words. The Kindred can force a target to be Submissive or Impatient with a successful social challenge. Targets affected by either emotion are 2 traits down on either Mental challenges ( Impatient) or Physical challenges (Submissive.) The Malkavian cannot end this power early. This does not stack, since it is a status condition, someone can only be subject to it once.

Submissive: -2 Traits on Physical Challenges.

Impatient: -2 Traits on Mental Challenges.


⚫⚫ The Haunting

Challenge: Socials (Empathy) vs. Socials

Cost: One Blood

Duration: One hour or Scene

The swirling chaos in your mind is maddening to behold, and any direct exposure to it quickly enervates the wills of others. Spend a Blood and engage your target in a Social Challenge. If you succeed, you inflict a Two Trait penalty on the target's Virtues for the duration of the scene. Most humans will turn into a gibbering mess, afraid of their own shadow. Does not stack

When someone peers into the abyss it changes them. Most go to look into the mouth of madness seeking power, but few walk away having gotten the thing they sought. The Malkavian understands how to navigate the paths of madness, or maybe he’s just crazy enough there's nothing left for the chaos to do to them. For the purposes of one challenge, the kindred can act as though he has one additional dot of lore. This additional dot can exceed generational maximums. When a kindred with no derangements activates this discipline they must make a Socials test (Empathy) vs 5 traits to avoid gaining a derangement, of a staff members choosing.

Cost: Willpower (temp)

Duration: One hour or permanent

With a few puzzling words, you are able to drive people into utter madness. At the conclusion of a short conversation with a person make a social challenge against them. If successful you may inflict one of your derangements on them. When used on a supernatural this derangement lasts for the night however when used on a mortal this derangement is permanent. Alternately, against a supernatural you can cause them to lose a willpower by assaulting them with madness

Challenge: Socials (Empathy) vs. Socials (Willpower) Cost: Willpower (temp) Duration: One scene or one hour (whichever is shorter)

By addressing a crowd verbally you are capable of driving a crowd into a frenzy. Your words echo in minds like the listener’s brains are great caverns until all they can hear is your voice. Make a mass social challenge against a crowd of people. The Cainite can affect any number of mortals with this power, as long as they can both see and hear him,( no, television/radio does not count) but he is limited to affecting a number of supernatural creatures equal to 2x his Dementation level. The Malkavian may choose the emotion that is felt by afflicted targets ( Fear, Anger, Hunger, Arousal, or Sadness)


Mortals become totally consumed by the emotion, fleeing, fighting, feeding, f***ing, or crying as appropriate. Kindred are immune to Sadness and Arousal however the other emotions trigger the corresponding type of frenzy in the kindred. The frenzy will change to the appropriate type if the kindred takes damage, or begins to run out of blood. The frenzy continues until the person who used this power is out of sight. Affected kindred (or garou if it comes up) may spend willpower each round to make a corresponding virtue challenge (difficulty 5) to come out of the frenzy. People forced to frenzy through this power can not be quelled.

Challenge: Socials (Empathy) vs Mentals (Willpower)

Cost: None

Duration: One Action

The Kindred reaches into their target’s mind-warping it into a useless state. With a successful chop, the target takes a -2 Mental Penalty for the night. This power is stackable, with each repeated use beyond the first imposing an additional -2 Mental Penalty. If a target has 0 mentals, they are unable to take action. These penalties may be healed by kindred as if it were lethal damage at a ratio of 1 to 1. Alternatively, the Kindred may spend a Willpower to scramble the target's mind. If successful, the target loses ties against Dementation powers for the scene (Sensory Shield negates).

⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ Shattered Mirror

Challenge: None

Cost: Permanent Willpower

Duration: Permanent

The Kindred reaches into a target’s mind and Imprints their own personality onto a human. You can create ghouls with the exact same Attributes and Abilities as yourself. These people gain a derangement (Your Choice). They have the same limitations still, so they lose any traits or abilities in excess of what they can hold. They lose any abilities they had prior. They keep any discipline they had if they had them. This power fails on kindred and has weird effects on other supernaturals. If you create one and don't have enough leadership they will begin to try and take your place.
