The beast of a Gangrel is stronger than that of other Kindred, It is both simpler and more complex in several important ways. Unlike other Kindred, a Gangrel’s beast knows what it wants in this world. While other beasts react to their environment, the Gangrel beast knows what it wants when it takes control of the body.

A Gangrel must choose a single animalistic archetype at character creation. This defines the type of frenzy they enter when they are forced to Frenzy. The trigger for frenzying remains the same, but they have an atypical reaction to said stimuli.

Hoarder: Squirrel/Shark: You never have enough food and shelter. It needs more. More blood. The solution to anger is always to eat. Anger? You’ll be less angry when you are full. Fear? You’ll be less afraid if you're full-on blood. The Gangrel always hunger frenzies when they frenzy. If there is no target to drink from, the gangrel will leave the scene to find someone. They don’t get a retest until they have consumed at least 1 trait of vitae ( if they were full) or until they are full ( if they are below full)

Predator: Lion/Wolf: Destruction. When afraid, you must lash out and destroy that which is scary, fear is a consequence of not being the Alpha. Kill everything until you are the Alpha. Hunger is also a symptom of not being the Alpha. When everything is dead there will be plenty of easy food. If there is no target to attack, they will leave the scene to find someone to take their aggression out on.

Prey: Fox/Rabbit : Oh no.. someone’s mad at you.. They could hurt you.. They might try to kill you!.. Must run.. Must hide. Hunger? Oh no.. need to find safe food… Food at home. Home is safe. Get food from home. The Kindred is only subject to fear frenzies. The Fox gets a retest when they enter a new scene.

These Animalism 5’s may be learned by any Gangrel with the new clan flaw or by other Clans/ Gangrel with the original flaw at a 10 exp surcharge.

The Gangrel has grown so connected with a specific animal ghoul that it can never leave their side, and understands how to make itself unnoticed when not needed. The Gangrel may break the rule of Ghouls in scenes. They may bring 1 Small animal Ghoul to scenes with them. It may act only in the helper round. The Ghoul has the following abilities (One skill at 5, two skills at 3 and 3 skills at 1.) It attacks using its masters Socials +Animal Ken. It deals 2 lethal. For the purpose of its own skill challenges it is assumed to have 8 mentals and socials. Its master may feed it a Blood to make its claws aggravated for the Round at the cost of a Step and a Blood per round. It can be killed only if its master is unconscious, otherwise it is too slippery to catch or target.

The Vampire roars and all targets within the sound of the voice in the same room, must make a Courage test (Dif 5) or enter Fear Frenzy.
