Correspondence rotes

Teleport

Type: Basic (Escape) Paradox: +1 if witnessed Challenge: Mentals(Arete) vs 10 traits Cost: 1Q Duration: 1 action

  • Short Cast: The Mage may move up to 10x their Correspondence in steps. If a mage short casts this spell to leave the scene other mages may immediately follow as per escape powers. This spell activates immediately not in the escape tick.
  • Long Cast: The Mage casts this spell in lieu of a travel action. They may travel up to 100 miles per level of the sphere without issue.

Correphone

Type: Basic Paradox: 0 Challenge: Mentals(Arete) vs 10 traits Cost: 1Q Duration: 1 scene

  • Short cast: The mage can throw their senses or voice [correspondence*5] steps.
  • Long cast: Can talk with one other person for the evening no matter the distance.

The Floor is Lava

Type: Basic Paradox: +2 if witnessed Challenge: Mentals(Arete) vs 10 traits Cost: 1Q Duration: 1 scene

  • Short cast: You can fly by opening small portals to the ground underneath your feet. You fly at a number of steps equal to your normal speed + your (Correspondence).
  • Long cast: You can enchant this spell on a pair of boots and give (1) to someone else.

Mirror Afterimage

Type: Basic Paradox: +1 if witnessed Challenge: Physicals(Arete) vs 10 traits Cost: 1Q Duration: 1 scene

  • Short cast: The mage makes (Correspondence) illusory copies of themselves, each of the copies represents a single defensive skill level retest that can be called against any non area of effect challenge. Any area of effect damage such as a grenade wipes out all the copies.
  • Long Cast: N/A

Here, there and back again

Type: Basic (Escape) Paradox: +2 if witnessed Challenge: Physicals(Arete) vs 10 traits Cost: 1Q Duration: 1 round

  • Short cast: So long as you can take a step while casting this spell, you blink out of existence and end up somewhere else. This is an escape power and can be used to follow this power as per escape powers.
  • Long cast: Wonder: Joggers: This wonder effect manifest as shoes on it's own and add [corr] steps per round to the wearer.

Master of Lightning

Type: Basic Opposed Paradox: +2 if witnessed Challenge: Mentals(Arete) vs Phys(Defense) Cost: 1Q Duration: 1 scene

  • Short cast: By making a basic check you can do any of the following as long as your (forces) score equals or exceeds the level, level 2/3 makes opposed checks.

1) By making a basic mentals(arete) check vs 10 traits you can power any machine without gas/or electricity. It works for the scene. 2) You can cast this spell to drop a lighting bolt from the sky it deals 4A and uses mentals(arete) vs physicals(defense) 3)(minion) If you are a master of forces(3) you summon a storm cloud minion when you summon your lightning bolt via(2), the storm cloud helper deals 1A to any target at the end of the round during the minion tick.

  • Long cast: By casting this spell as an action you can make a (forces) point influence attack against all influences in a single city as a storm, within 3 cities of you. Up to 3 mages can cast this spell on a city in a single month for a total of 9 integrity.
