Shovelheads

The sabbat has many monsters and legions at their disposal, be they schlakta, abyssal creatures, blood brothers, or shovelheads. Expanding on the sabbat’s live-fire benefit sabbat members can take the below action type as they send their monsters against an opposing city no other sect can.

New action: Shovelhead

  • By burning their herd, the sabbat may gather enough blood to send a small legion of vampires against their enemies, to wreck their stuff and eat their herd. Each spend point of herd provides the following penalties on the surrounding city attacked. Additional points beyond 3 can be spent by multiple people but the blood penalty caps at -5.
Herd level Spent Influence Blood Penalty
1 10 point attack -1 blood
2 20 point attack -2 blood
3 40 point attack -3 blood
super 100 point attack -5 blood
Max (+10/per L1, 20/2, 40/3) -5 blood
  • Influence: Whose influence the damage is done is chosen at random, but the attacker can specify the influence category.
  • Blood penalty: Blood penalty applies to every vampire in the city attacked, and is taken from their blood pool for the night, coming out of their herd first if they have it.

War

  • If the Archbishop or bishops calls for war(2 actions between them), every member of the domain gets a bonus shovelhead action so long as they keep spending the 2 action tax each month. Sabbat domains can only hold one war at a time, if the Archbishop and bishop disagree on where they go to war, they can Monomancy for it.

Defense vs shovelheads

  • If you are a domain under the heel of shovelheads, scourge actions will catch the shovelheads before they deal too much damage, if you defeat them in a scourge scene, each action negates 1 point of blood penalty. Defending your influence defends from shovelhead attacks as normal, they will simply move on down the line.
