Type: Basic Paradox: +x Challenge: Mentals(Arete) vs 10 traits Cost: 1Q/difficulty lowered Duration: 1 challenge
- Short cast: When the Solificati fails a Lore check, they may cast this spell to check again. For each Q spent the difficulty of the check lowers by one. Lowering difficulties that start above 5 generate 1 paradox per point it is lowered by.

- Short cast:The Solificati multiplies the benefit from science checks when crafting by their Matter Sphere. They may also spend 3 actions to duplicate the effect of a Long cast: Wonder that they do not possess.
- Long cast: Wonder: Devices A Solificati with this rote picks one basic rote they know, that rote causes no paradox accumulation as they have made a device that casts it for them. They must still spend Q and make the challenge as normal, once used the device falls to pieces. These devices can be handed to others, but a mage can have a maximum of their (matter) at any given time.
Alchemy
Type: Basic/Opposed Paradox: +1 Challenge: Mentals(arete) vs Physicals(athletics) Cost: 1Q Duration: 1 Scene
- Short cast: With this rote a child of knowledge can transmute trash to gold. They have two options when casting this rote: one basic and one opposed, both use mentals(arete). The first option allows the child of knowledge to convert anything off the street into enough gold to make a single resource 2 purchase. Alternatively they can target one weapon they can see within 3 steps and make a mentals(Arete) vs physicals(athletics) check, if they succeed that item becomes lead for the scene and provides no bonuses or abilities. This spell fails if the item's category is higher than the mage's (Matter*2)
- Long cast: Wonder: Philosopher's stone: This item when applied to an item, temporarily grants that item a single tag it does not normally possess, Alternately it can be applied to a structure to remove all of a Walls damage reduction, Lastly it can be consumed to cure any poison or illness.
