Fetishes are Magical Items of the Fera. Each Fetish is a spirit embodied within an item. A werewolf may only have one of any given type of fetish. The fetish is equal to the Rank of the werewolf.
Talens are one use Fetishes. They can be used by anyone, but are destroyed after use.
Starting with a Fetish: is a level 3 background.
Starting with a Talen is a level 1 background
Crafting a Fetish: Crafting a Fetish is a difficulty 5 craft: fetish challenge. You must already have a suitable item for crafting the fetish into. ( for skill items this means an item that grants at least 3 traits. For Weapons this means a weapon with the expensive tag.)
Crafting a Talen: is a difficulty 3 Craft Fetish Challenge. You may increase the difficulty to create additional copies of the same Talen. Every difficulty over 3 creates one additional Talen.
Attuning a Fetish: A Changer lowers their permanent Gnosis pool rating by one for every Fetish they have attuned. A Changer using an unattuned fetish is treated as using an improvised weapon, or it simply doesn't work. . The one exception exists within a scene, where the fetish owner dies. Any of their allies may pick up and use the fetish for the remainder of the scene.
The rating of a Fetish is equal to the Rank of its Owner.
Bonuses provided by Fetishes are equipment bonuses unless otherwise stated.
